Phil is a Mining Geologist with over 25 years’ experience of providing consultancy services to minerals companies throughout the world, with particular specialisation in CIS, Europe, Central and West Africa, and China. He has developed an extensive portfolio of exploration and mining-related contracts, from project management through to technical audits of a large variety of metalliferous and industrial mineral deposits. He began his career as an exploration geologist with the Robertson Group, working extensively on gold and base metal projects in North Africa, before moving on to pursue a PhD in exploration geochemistry. This was followed by a period as lecturer at Camborne School of Mines, in conjunction with an active role as a consulting geologist. From there, he moved on to his present position as Managing Director with Wardell Armstrong International (formerly CSMA Consultants Limited).
