Presentation: Automatically safe and energy-efficient
Presenter: PETER PERSSON,
Product Line Support Manager EMEA, Mine Automation, Sandvik Mining

Synopsis:
Currently mining industry is on the step of automation which is also actual for the other industries, but before we need to find a solution in innovation technologies. The ambition of the next 20 years will be to create a much more static mining environment that allows for repetition over longer periods, from six months to a couple of years, so that the movement of material can be automated as much as possible. This means mining will go through the same process that has already transformed much of the manufacturing industry, facilitated by the rapid development in information technology.

15:30 – 16:00 Presentation: Surface Mining drilling
Presenter: ALEXANDER PAVLENKO,
Regional Product Suport Manager, Surface Drills,
Sandvik Mining and Construction CIS LLC

Synopsis:
Mining often starts with a hole. Why, how and where you drill that hole varies wildly, which means you have to right products/from drill down to bit/to work effectively and productively, with high availability for a long time. Sandvik makes drills and tools for production drilling, presplotting, wall control and grade control, which encompass rotary, DTH and tophammer drilling methods. Also we make rigs and tools that for coal, copper, iron, gold, zinc, diamonds and large variety of other materials.
